The Application Process

  1. How do I apply for a global experiences program?
First, use our program search tool to identify the program that you would like to apply to. (Advising is available for students who would like assistance with deciding on a program.)  Each program page will display the current application cycle(s) open, if any.  If a program is currently accepting applications, you may start your application by clicking "Apply Now."  Current UW-W students should use their UW-W login credentials to log in. External/non-UW-W applicants may create an "external user" account in order to apply.

  2. How do I log in to continue working on an application that I've already started?
If you have already started an application, you may log back in to continue working on it. Login pages are accessible from the "Search and Apply for Programs" area of our website. UW-W students should click the "Login" link at the top right corner of the page to log in using their UW-W login credentials, while non-UW-W applicants should click "Non-UW-W Users," also at the top of the page, to access the login page for external users.

  3. My host university or study abroad program requires me to submit my UW-W transcript along with my application.  How do I get one?
Most students applying to study abroad and exchange programs will be required to submit an official transcript as part of their host university's or study abroad program's application process.  UW-W transcripts can be requested online, by phone, or in person from the UW-W Registrar's Office. There is a small fee for transcript processing. Students can pick up their transcripts from the Registrar's Office (e.g. in order to compile them with other application materials prior to submission) or have them mailed directly to their study abroad program provider.
