Academic Programs

There are several majors and minors at UW-Whitewater that have a strong international component. You can explore these programs below:

Major: General Business International Emphasis

The General Business major at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater provides students with a broader look at the field of business. Students pursuing the international emphasis in the general business major are required to complete either a short-term travel study course or study abroad for a semester.

Major: International Studies

The International Studies major is an interdisciplinary program, which combines a broad core curriculum with one of four emphases: foreign language and area studies, business, public diplomacy, and international economics. It includes a study abroad requirement.

Minor: Asian Studies Japanese Emphasis

The Asian Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program that emphasizes the study of Asia and embraces a range of approaches and topics. The Japanese emphasis includes a study abroad requirement.

Minor: International Business
