Host Family Program
The host family program at UW-Whitewater is a non-live in situation designed to promote cross-cultural understanding by fostering interaction between Whitewater area residents and UW-Whitewater international students. Host families benefit from these friendships by learning more about the ways of life in other lands. The students benefit because they are assisted in their transition to living in the United States.
About UW-Whitewater
Extensive opportunities are available to participate in intramural sports, club sports (including soccer), and varsity athletics. Students may also choose to become involved in one of over 140 student organizations.
Arrival Information
The Center for Global Education offers individual advisement on immigration, cultural adjustment, health insurance and other matters, including information, advice and assistance on applying for various benefits of nonimmigrant status such as certain types of employment.
