SUMMARY
This direct enrollment program is only open to Business majors. As a direct enrollment program, students will pay the UCD program cost. The Quinn School of Business holds both AACSB and EQUIS accreditations. As a student at UCD Quinn School, you will join the largest and most vibrant business school in Ireland while experiencing life in the modern European city of Dublin. UCD has two program offerings, a renowned summer internship program and their regular semester program.

ELIGIBILITY
Students must: (1) have sophomore standing; (2) have a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application; (3) have a clean disciplinary record; and (4) be back on the UW-Whitewater campus for at least one final semester prior to graduation.
APPLICATIONS, DATES AND DEADLINES
The application process consists of two steps: an application to UW-W for approval to study abroad followed by an application to the host institution abroad. Applications are available from the Center for Global Education or online. Early admittance is not possible for this program.
Academic year abroad: February-November. UW-W application deadline is October 15.
Fall semester abroad: July-November.UW-W application deadline is March 15.
Spring semester abroad: February-June. UW-W application deadline is October 15.
APPROXIMATE COST
Each term, UCD will bill their program fee to UW-W, who will then bill the student’s Whitewater student account. Additional fees for study abroad housing and meals must be paid directly to UCD Quinn School. The following is an approximate budget that can be used as a guide. ACCOMMODATIONS
Housing arrangements are coordinated through the host institution. Housing options differ from one campus to another and include both on-campus and off-campus accommodation possibilities.
CISI INSURANCE
All students participating in any Wisconsin international education program are required by the State of Wisconsin to purchase international insurance from Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI). CISI insurance costs $37 per 30-day period. CISI insurance charges will be billed to the student’s UW-W online student account.
PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
Students will need a passport to study in Ireland. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the end of your program. The passport fee is approximately $100. Obtaining a passport can take two to three months. Passport applications are available in the Center for Global Education.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Students studying for more than tree months (90 days) at UCD must obtain residence permission from the Department of Justice within a few days of arrival in Dublin. The following documents are required; 1) a completed Aliens Registration Form (available form local police offices) 2) a valid passport 3) four passport photographs 4) evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of stay (e.g. statement of earnings, bank statement, credit cards, ATM cards, traveler’s checks etc.) 5) proof o f overseas insurance. FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSHIPS
Qualified students may apply for a Wisconsin Study Abroad Grant (need-based) of up to $2,000. Applications are available from the Center for Global Education. To discuss having your financial aid applied to study abroad, schedule an appointment with the Financial Aid Office at 262.472.1130. All students are also encouraged to apply for college-specific scholarships. The Center for Global Education has additional information on grants and scholarships for study abroad.
