The Rock County Planning & Development Agency is seeking 1-2 Planning Interns to work under the supervision of the GIS Manager/planning staff. The intern(s) will be assisting with the finalization of the Rock County Comprehensive Plan and will possibly have an opportunity to work with mapping of the Flood of 2008.

Summer into Fall Semester - Part-Time
Start Date - July 28, 2008
PAID - $10.00/hour

Qualifications

• Graduate or undergraduate student who is self-motivated.
• Background in Geographic Information Systems, urban planning, urban studies, landscape architecture, geography, or public policy preferred.
• Should be computer literate in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Should have ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision after training.
• Should have reliable transportation.
