Campus Awards Program
On this page you will find the applications for awards to be presented at the 2009-2010 Campus Awards Program. Please share this page with your organization and organization advisor. You are welcome and encouraged to apply for as many awards listed here as you wish. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by 4:00 pm on April 2, 2010. Please make sure you fill out each application completely and appropriately. If you have any questions, please email campusawards@uww.edu or call 262.472.1471.
Awards Recognizing Individuals:
For Students:
Student Involvement Awards
Recognizes individual students who have served our campus in an exemplary fashion and have been involved in leadership positions, service, programming and other activities.
Distinguished Student Leader Award
This is the highest leadership honor bestowed on an individual student for a variety of significant leadership roles during their collegiate tenure. The recipient of this award must be a Fall 2009 or Spring 2010 graduating senior.
Peter J. Barrett Student Integrity Award
Recognizes a student who has visibly demonstrated their commitment to the campus values, specifically showing their "commitment to personal and professional integrity".
Outstanding Community Service - Student Award
Recognizes an individual student who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to others and service activities.
For Alumni, Faculty and Staff:
Outstanding Alumni Award
Recognizes UW-Whitewater alumni who continue to support organizations and UW-Whitewater.
Outstanding Teaching Award
Recognizes a UW-Whitewater Faculty/Academic Staff member who is an outstanding instructor and is supportive of student involvement in the campus and community. Candidates should be nominated by a Student Organization.
Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award
Recognizes an advisor who has gone above and beyond when working with an organization.
Outstanding Service to Students - Faculty/Staff
Recognizes a faculty or staff member who has gone above and beyond to encourage student success and involvement, and impacted students' lives by providing assistance, advice, or advocacy to students.
*Please note that staff whose service/involvement is an expectation of employment are not eligible.
Awards Recognizing Organizations:
Outstanding Educational Program Awards
These awards recognize organizations that have conducted meaningful educational projects or events for the campus.
Outstanding Service Project Awards
Recognizes organizations that have participated in and/or created outstanding community service projects.
The Service Report Forms that were distributed in organization mailboxes and online turned in throughout the academic year serve as the applications for these awards.
Outstanding Diversity Program Awards
Recognizes organizations that have conducted meaningful diversity programs for the campus.
Outstanding Integrative Program Awards
Recognizes student organizations that have worked with other members of campus and community to create meaningful programs.
Chancellor's Achievement Award
Recognizes an organization that has gone above and beyond the normal level of involvement, service and represents the "best" of what UW-Whitewater exemplifies. This award will be given to only one recipient.
Awards Recognizing the Greek Community:
Greek Man/Woman of the Year Award
One man and one woman from the Greek community are honored each year for their comprehensive dedication to the Greek system, UW-Whitewater, service, academics, and all that is virtuous of Greek Life.
Commitment to Philanthropy
Recognizes the chapter most committed to philanthropic endeavors and a culture of community service. (No application necessary)
Highest Chapter GPA
Recognizes that highest chapter GPA within InterFraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and National Panhellenic Council chapter members. (No application necessary)
Outstanding Chapter Excellence Award
Recognizes the chapter who has gone above & beyond demonstrating the chapters' values during the 2008-2009 school year.
