Judging
Banners will be judged in the following areas:
Adhering to Homecoming Theme
Guidelines

Maximum banner size is four feet wide by three feet tall. Banners must be painted wide, not long.

Banners must be made of cloth provided by the Homecoming Steering Committee. All cloth will be of the same
quality of material and will be the color white and illustrated on one side only. HSC will provide paint,
however, entrants must provide brushes and any other materials used to create the banner. No glitter
will be allowed.

Groups will pay for the cloth when picked up from the Homecoming Steering Committee.

One of the colors used on the banner must be purple.

The cheer or slogan written on the banner must use the words "Warhawk" or "Whitewater" AND have organizational
identification.

No vulgarity, profanity, promoting of irresponsible use of alcohol, or implying sexual or racial discrimination
will be permitted. Banners violating this rule will be automatically disqualified.

Entry forms must be turned in to Leadership Development (Drumlin 120) by 4:00PM, Friday, September 28. You are
encouraged to submit your entries earlier.

Banners must be turned in to Leadership Development, DRY, no later than Monday, October 8, by 8:00AM to qualify
for judging.

Banner designers/artists must be UW-W students.

The decision of the judges is FINAL. Judging: Monday, October 8, 9:00AM, Whitewater Armory.

Students may vote on their favorite banner in each division by going to the Homecoming website. Each
student will only be allowed to vote once and the points will count for the weight of one's judges' score
in the overall points. Voting will take place beginning Tuesday, October 9, and will end on Thursday, October 11
at 4:00PM. Winners will be shown and announced at the Spirit Rally.
