The Klumb Awards are given in recognition of Dr. Reuben Klumb in honor of his more than 25 years of dedicated work with Homecoming. Each year these awards are given to an outstanding senior female and senior male. The 2007 Senior Award recipients will be chosen among candidates with senior standing and a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Candidates may only apply once and must be graduating within the 2007-08 academic year.
A panel of judges will be selected by the Homecoming Steering Committee and the Senior Awards Coordinator. They will conduct interviews on Sunday, September 30, in Esker 109B from 12:00PM (Noon) — 5:00PM. Entrants will be judged on peronality, extra-curricular activities, promotion of school spirit and achievements. Entrants are required to submit two letters of recommednation from UW-Whitewater faculty, administrators, or university personnel/staff. Recommendation letters and applications MUST be received by Friday, September 28, by 4:00PM, at Leadership Development, Drumlin 120.
The winners will be announced at the Variety Show on Wednesday, October 10. Recipients will receive a plaque, a corsage, an honorarium, and will appear in the Homecoming Parade. They will be recognized at the October 13 football game and, if possible, also in the Commencement program.

The 2006 Reuben Klumb Award for Outstanding Senior Female recipient was Sara Mertz.
The 2006 Reuben Klumb Award for Outstanding Senior Male recipient was Andre Douglas.
