Homecoming Events

There are three divisions of competition: Residence Halls, Greeks, and Student Organizations.

For Greeks and Student Organization divisions, to participate in any Homecoming events, your organization must have completed the registration/renewal process with Career & Leadership Development.

In the Residence Hall division, points will be awarded to complexes. For the purpose of point distribution, both the East and West towers of Wells will be considered individual halls. The Office of Residence Life has determined which activities residence halls will participate in (please see Residence Hall Participation Entry Form).

Contest results and Division Champion winners will be announced at the football game on Saturday, October 25, 2008, as well as posted throughout the week at the homecoming web site.

Decisions of the Homecoming Steering Committee are FINAL.

Real Life... This Is How We Roll

At the 2nd general meeting on Monday, April 28th 2008, a lottery took place in order for groups to sign up for a specific theme concept. Groups are encouraged to incorporate this theme throughout their homecoming participation. Groups may also choose themes in the Fall semester. Examples are provided on a separate handout. Register your theme by contacting Chris Pahl, HSC Chair, at 262-472-1471 or pahlcm27@uww.edu.

Court Events

UW-Whitewater provides an opportunity for male/female sponsored student representatives to compete and possibly be selected to the Homecoming Court. This selection is implemented through an interview and voting process. Please refer to Court Packet for details.

Senior Awards

These awards are given to candidates of senior standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Candidates must be graduating during the 2008-2009 school year. Candidates need not have any organization affiliation, and do not serve as representatives of competing Championship Trophy organizations. Please refer to Senior Awards Packet for details.

Each year the Homecoming Steering Committee needs assistance to finance the Homecoming activities. Help can be provided by the purchase of buttons or in the form of donations. Please contact Career & Leadership Development at x1471 for details.

Entry Forms

All events require a completed participation form in addition to the overall registration form. Please refer to Forms Packet. All forms are due Friday, October 10th by 4 pm to Career & Leadership Development (UC 146).

Community Service

Each year UW-W Homecoming helps our community. This year the Homecoming Steering Committee supports community service with the annual Make a Difference Day on Friday October 3rd and the annual food drive at the Homecoming Dance. Please bring all non-perishable food items to the dance in boxes or bags.
