Judging

Displays will be judged in the following areas:

Clarity of Description 30
Originality / Creativity 30
Overall Impression 25
Adhering to Rules 15
Total Points 100

Guidelines

  1. Display boards are 36" high and 48" wide (similar to science fair boards used in high school).
  2. Display boards will be provided by the Homecoming Steering Committee through registration fees for this event. All will be of the same quality of material and will be the color white and illustrated on one side only. No glitter will be allowed, and boards must fold closed completely
    • Groups will pay for the display board when picked up from the Homecoming Steering Committee.
  3. The purpose of the display board is to describe who you are- your history, mission, members, how to join, and any other information.
  4. One of the colors used on the display board must be purple.
  5. The words "Warhawk" OR "Whitewater" must be used AND organization must be clearly identified.
  6. No vulgarity, profanity, promoting of irresponsible use of alcohol, or implying sexual or racial discrimination will be permitted. Display boards violating this rule will be automatically disqualified.
  7. Entry forms must be turned in to Career & Leadership Development (UC 146) by 4 pm, Friday, October 10. You are encouraged to submit your entries earlier.
  8. Display Boards must be turned in to Career & Leadership Development, DRY, no later than Monday, October 20th, by 4:00 pm to qualify for judging.
  9. Display designers and artists must be UW-Whitewater students.
  10. Judging will take place throughout the day on Tuesday, October 21st.
  11. The decision of the judges is FINAL.
