  1. Participating groups will create a 30 to 60 second music video representing their theme. 
    • Under 30 seconds = Disqualification
    • Over 60 seconds = minus 10 points per 5 seconds over
  2. Format information / Hints for Success:
    1. Must set up DVD formatting so that it burns for a Standard DVD Player
    2. Must use a DVD-R Format
    3. Can use any standard burning software
    4. Cannot be left as an .avi or quick time file
    5. "Export as a DVD Compatible File" DOESN’T WORK
    6. Menu at beginning of disk is helpful
    7. Prior to turning in, must be able to remove from computer, place in a standard DVD player and have it work
  3. Entry forms MUST be submitted ONLINE at https://my.uww.edu by 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 14th.
  4. Videos must be turned in to Career & Leadership Development, no later than Monday, October 18th, by Noon to qualify for judging.  You are encouraged to submit your entries earlier.  Videos will not be returned!
  5. Videos must be designed, performed and created by current UW-Whitewater students.
  6. Students are encouraged to design a video that fits their theme and their organization.  Creativity and originality is encouraged.
  7. Videos will be played outside of the dance on Friday, October 22nd and top finishers will be shown during the Homecoming Variety Show and on Cable 19.  The top video from each division will be played during the Homecoming football game (at discretion of Football StadiumTechnical Staff).
  8. Vulgarity, profanity, promoting of irresponsible use of alcohol, or implying sexual or racial discrimination will be NOT permitted and you will be disqualified.
  9. Videos must be playable on a standard DVD player. 
  10. Videos will be judged on the following areas:
    11. Category Points
    Creativity 30
    Adherence to theme 35
    Workmanship 25
    Overall Impression 10
    Total 100

  11. The decision of the judges is FINAL.
