Homecoming 2012

The Reuben Klumb Award for Outstanding Seniors

The Klumb Awards are given in recognition of Dr. Reuben Klumb in honor of his more than 25 years of dedicated work with Homecoming.  Each year these awards are given to an outstanding senior female and senior male.  The 2012 Senior Award recipients will be chosen among candidates with senior standing and a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.  Candidates may only apply once and must be graduating within the 2012-2013 academic year.

The Homecoming Steering Committee and the Senior Awards Coordinator will select a panel of judges. They will conduct interviews on Friday, October 5th in Career & Leadership Development’s Conference Room (UC146).

Students will be evaluated on four criteria:

  1. Demonstrated leadership & scholarship
  2. Campus Involvement
  3. Promotion of school spirit
  4. Extra-curricular activities

Entrants will be judged on personality, extra-curricular activities, and promotion of school spirit, campus involvement and achievements.  A complete application will include the online application form, a resume and two letters of recommendation from UW-Whitewater faculty, administrators or university personnel/staff.  The resume and recommendation letters MUST be received by 11:55 pm on Wednesday, October 3, to the homecoming@uww.edu e-mail address.

The winners will be announced at the Variety Show on Thursday, October 18. Recipients will receive a plaque, an honorarium, and will appear in the Homecoming Parade. They will be recognized at the October 20th football game.

Completed applications and all materials must be submitted no later than 11:55 pm, Wednesday, October 3rd.
