The Reuben Klumb Award for Outstanding Seniors
The Klumb Awards are given in recognition of Dr. Reuben Klumb in honor of his more than 25 years of dedicated work with Homecoming. Each year these awards are given to an outstanding senior female and senior male. The 2013 Senior Award recipients will be chosen among candidates with senior standing and a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Candidates may only apply once and must be graduating within the 2013- 2014 academic year.
The Homecoming Steering Committee and the Senior Awards Coordinator will select a panel of judges. They will conduct interviews on Friday, October 18th in Career & Leadership Development�s Conference Room (Room 146) of the University Center.
Students will be evaluated on four criteria:
- Demonstrated leadership & scholarship
- Campus Involvement
- Promotion of school spirit
- Extra-curricular activities
Entrants will be judged on personality, extra-curricular activities, promotion of school spirit, campus involvement and achievements. A complete application will include the online application form (http://www.uww.edu/involve/homecoming/seniorapp.php), a resume and two letters of recommendation from UW-Whitewater faculty, administrators or university personnel/staff. The application is submitted directly through the web page. The resume and recommendation letters MUST be received by 11:55pm on Wednesday, October 16th, to the email@example.com email address.
The winners will be announced at the Variety Show on Thursday, October 31st. Recipients will receive a plaque, an honorarium, and will appear in the Homecoming Parade. They will be recognized at the November 2nd football game.
Completed applications and all materials must be submitted no later than 11:55 pm, Wednesday, October 16th.
