Chairs' Council
UW-Whitewater’s Chairs Council is composed of all appointed chairpersons of all academic depart-ments, including the Provost as an ex officio member. Its primary function is to consider all matters pertaining to the functioning of the academic departments and, when appropriate, to advise the Pro-vost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs on matters for concern to departmental chairpersons. In addition, the Chairs Council serves as a forum for information sharing and input on innovations and change that relate to the quality of academic programs and initiatives at the university, as well as a platform for discussion of issues that fall within the responsibilities of department chairs. The Council meets four times each academic year, twice per semester.
