Corporations are probably the most influential institutions in the world today. Yet many people view them as greedy, selfish, exploitative, uncaring, interested only in maximizing profits, and not to be trusted. Today’s increasingly global and complex business world requires talented and ethical leaders who can not only advance profits, but who are also prepared to deal with the broader impact and potential of business as a positive force in society. A growing number of businesses are helping to ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit societies everywhere.
The goal of the Conscious Capitalist LC is to encourage future business leaders to become more aware of and informed about the connections between business and environmental and social issues.
This Learning Community is available for students interested in globally responsible business development and management practices. As a member of this learning community, students will live together in the Arey/Benson complex, take courses with the Learning Community and other business learning communities on campus, and connect with a faculty coordinator who will help you adjust to college life.
Location: Arey/Benson Complex
