Family weekend is dedicated to all students and their families at UW-Whitewater. It is usually scheduled a month after the start of school to give new students a chance to learn their way around campus and share their experiences with family and friends.

Family members of UW-Whitewater students are considered an integral part of the university family. The UW-Whitewater V.I.P. (Very Important Parents) Association program was offered to bring parents closer to the services and people on campus and to keep parents involved and informed.
