UW-Whitewater offers travel-study to Norway and Denmark

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater College of Education is offering “Fairy Tales and Fjords: A Tour of Norway and Denmark” June 16-26, 2003. The tour visits the land where the fairy tales of Hans Christian Anderson originated.

Destinations include Copenhagen, Odense, Osk Bergen and the spectacular Sognefjord. Graduate and undergraduate credits are available for the travel-study program, with the credits included in the travel cost. All participants will attend two on-campus pre-trip orientation sessions.

Led by Andrea Maxworthy O’Brien, the trip departs from Chicago on Monday, June 16 and arrives in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 17. Included in the cost of the trip are transportation, transfers, hotels, tours and some meals.

The trip costs $3,350 per person double occupancy, and a reservation deposit of $595 is required Jan. 15, 2003. For more information on the application and payment process, contact Kathy Gibbs or Terry Behlke at the Travel Study Programs Office in Roseman 2010 or call (800) 621-5376.
