Friends of the Andersen Library to host historic preservation consultant

Historic preservation consultant Carol Cartwright will lead a workshop on how to research historic properties on Friday, March 21, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Andersen Library. It is free of charge and open to the public. Visit the Andersen Library circulation desk for directions to the International Education Conference Room L2254.
Cartwright has been active as an historic preservation consultant since 1985 and will explain how to determine the style, age, previous ownership and importance of a piece of property. She will also discuss strategies and offer examples of how to use local resources to conduct historical property research.
Cartwright holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the author of “Architectural and Historical Survey Report for the City of Fort Atkinson.”
