Tickets.Com now available for UW-Whitewater events

Don't have the time to stand in line waiting to purchase tickets to campus arts and athletics events? Problem solved — purchase them online.
Tickets.com, a national site, offers a multitude of tickets to various entertainment and athletic events and caters to the UW-Whitewater community as well.
Barb Sigler, the Information and Ticket Services coordinator at the University Center, said she hopes this new service will help increase ticket sales. “At this time, 57 percent of the tickets ordered through tickets.com are from new customers,” Sigler said.
The simplest way to access the service is to go to www.tickets.com and search Whitewater. Users can also find the Web site on the campus home page, at the popular sites drop-down list. The service can also be found on the Irvin L. Young Auditorium and College of Arts and Communication Web pages.
Scheduled events for the entire 2003-2004 school year also can be viewed by university venue, including the Barnett Theatre, Irvin L. Young Auditorium, Kachel Center and Perkins Stadium.
Tickets may be purchased by credit card and picked up at the University Center a few days before the event or at the venue the day or night of the event. A photo ID, the credit card used to purchase the tickets and the order confirmation number will be needed for verification. Tickets.com has other shipping options, but they are currently unavailable to UW-Whitewater participants. For more details visit www.tickets.com.
