Hire a Habitater to do your dirty work!
Released: October 3, 2003
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Habitat for Humanity chapter is up for hire! For a tax-deductible donation, members will be available on Oct. 11 and Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to rake leaves, clean, move, build and help with other indoor and outdoor tasks. All proceeds will be put toward building affordable housing in the Whitewater area.
Habitat’s home building project in Delevan is a recent example of how donations are directly benefiting the community. After several years of hard work and fund raising, the campus chapter is sponsoring its first home. It will take approximately six months to build the home with volunteer labor and donated materials.
“We’re very excited and grateful to Habitat for Humanity and the students of UW-Whitewater for making our dream of having a new home finally a reality,” said the future homeowner, Kathy Brittain.
