Kerry's Daughter Visits Campus on Sept. 29

Alexandra Forbes Kerry, 31, the older daughter of 2004 U.S. Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, will be on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus Wednesday, Sept. 29 to help promote her father in the Nov. 2 Wisconsin presidential election.

Sponsored by UW-Whitewater Students for Kerry, Alexandra will speak at 11:15 a.m. in the University Center Warhawk Room followed by a media availability at 12:30 p.m. in the Minnieska room. The public is invited to attend.

Democratic Sen. John Kerry, Mass., spent Monday in Spring Green, Wis. vying for the crucial ten Wisconsin electoral votes and preparing for the Thursday presidential debate in Coral Gables, Fla.

Alexandra, who studied anthropology and media at Brown University and is a recent graduate from the American Film Institute, was in Spring Green with her father. Alexandra and younger sister Vanessa, 27, have been regulars on the campaign trail and have primarily been targeting younger voters with their message.

A filmmaker and actress, Alexandra is currently filming a documentary about the campaign trail.
