Self-Study Working Lunch #1
November 23, 2005
Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend a free lunch in the South Commons, located in the James R. Connor University Center, on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. to review the first two draft sections of the university’s self-study report. The introduction and first chapter, Criterion One: Mission and Integrity, will be covered at the first session, with the remaining chapters to be discussed at future meetings on December 7 and 13. The final report will be submitted to the Higher Learning Commission in advance of their March 2006 campus accreditation visit.
John Stone, campus coordinator for the project, says that the meeting will include reviewing the findings, correcting errors and providing feedback prior to drafting the final report. He stresses the importance of getting a good cross section of individuals for input into the document, and hopes to have a good turnout. (He is even promising prizes in a “Know Your Campus” quiz as an incentive!)
