Contemporary Issues Lecture Series: Seymour Hersh

In the second lecture of the College of Letters and Sciences’ Contemporary Issues Lecture Series for the 2005-06 academic year, author and journalist Seymour Hersh will present “Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib.” The lecture will be held on Monday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Hamilton Center located in the James R. Connor University Center.
The noted author’s lecture will bring to light the price of holding political power on an international stage.
Hersh has won a number of awards for investigative, international and public interest reporting. Among his awards are a Pulitzer Prize, four George Polk awards and two Investigators and Editors prizes.
Racial, social and political equity are the unifying topics of the College of Letters and Sciences 2005-06 Contemporary Issues Lecture Series. The series, sponsored by the College of Letters and Sciences, brings nationally credited scholars to campus to share their studies and facilitate dialogue about hot topics in the United States. The lectures are free and open to the public.
