Barnett Box Office renovations begin Dec. 12
Released: December 6, 2005
Beginning Monday, Dec. 12, the Barnett Box Office in the Greenhill Center of the Arts will close for renovations. It will reopen in February 2006.
The Barnett Box Office is used for ticket sales for performances in the Barnett Theatre. The renovation will consist of many improvements, including: a more visible box office, two sales booths instead of one and upgraded network and wiring that will allow Purple Points and credit cards to be accepted.
According to Sarah Altermatt, director of public events, “The renovation of the box office and the change to make it a permanent outlet will make it a more visible location for students and the general public. There will also be the added convenience of the location, as well as an additional sales station, keeping lines shorter on the evening of a performance.”
Once renovations are completed, the Irvin L. Young Auditorium ticket outlet will be closed, making the newly-renovated box office the main ticket outlet in the Greenhill Center of the Arts. Tickets will still be available for purchase at University Center ticket services and the Visitor Center.- Amanda Otto,ottoae31@uww.edu
