Basketball season kicks off with Midnight Madness Oct. 19
October 17, 2006
Students looking for something fun to do this Thursday night should plan to attend Midnight Madness at the Williams Center. Pi Sigma Epsilon, UW-Whitewater's co-ed marketing and management fraternity, will once again host the annual event that kicks off the basketball season. The event begins at 9 p.m. in the basketball gym. The cost of admission is $1, which includes a raffle ticket.
During the event raffle ticket numbers will be called off and audience members will have the chance to participate in games and win prizes. Additional tickets can be purchased to increase the odds of winning. Some of the games that will be played include musical chairs, a dizzy bat race, blind-folded dash for cash and lightning. Prizes, which were donated from local businesses, include a brand new I-pod, cash, free pizzas and subs, tanning packages, free haircuts, beads, t-shirts and more.
Members of the women's and men's basketball teams will be introduced and the men's basketball team will compete in a slam-dunk contest.
