Student Heidi Swatek hosts benefit concert in Lake Geneva

There's something about the sound of holiday music that can warm up even the coldest ears during these winter months. To benefit the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater music department's scholarship fund, vocal major Heidi Swatek will host "A Classical Christmas" benefit concert. The concert will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 at the historic Golden Oaks Mansion located in Lake Geneva.
Live music from UW-Whitewater professors Julie Cross, Brian Leeper and Benjamin Whicomb along with the student Saxophone Quartet and various other student musicians will be performed.
Desserts and beverages will be served. Tickets are $14.95 per person and can be purchased at Sentry in Whitewater, Elkhorn and Walworth. They can also be purchased at Golden Oaks Mansion at the door.
