Homecoming Court: Your Vote Counts
Released: October 2, 2007
Homecoming is a time for fun, excitement and activities that involve the entire student body. Student organizations, Greek organizations and residence halls play a crucial role in homecoming activities, but who will represent each organization on the Homecoming Court? It's up to the student body to decide.
Voting for the 2007 Homecoming Court will occur from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at the University Bookstore. UW-Whitewater students can vote for their favorite candidates from each organization, all they need is their UW-Whitewater student ID.
One male and one female representative from the many recognized student organizations, Greek organizations and residence halls on campus will be in the running for court. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements, partake in the interview process and campaign across campus in order to participate.
The 2007 Homecoming Court will consist of five pairs of representatives selected by voting and interview points. All court candidates will be introduced at the Homecoming Dance Oct. 8 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. in Lot 9, and the five representative pairs will be announced.
Intense campaigning will follow Oct. 9-10 until the king and queen are announced at the Varity Show Oct. 10 in the Young Auditorium.
Who will represent UW-Whitewater as the 2007 Homecoming King and Queen? The vote is up to the students. Make sure to vote on Oct. 4 and participate in the weeklong homecoming festivities.
