Alumna Patty Duffey '77 addresses graduates at commencement

More than 600 students were addressed by Patricia (Rusch) Duffey at the December 2007 commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. in the DLK/Kachel Fieldhouse.
Duffey '77 received a bachelor's degree in business education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is the senior vice president of marketing development for UniPro Foodservice Inc., a distributor cooperative of nearly 300 independently owned foodservice distributors.
In addition to UniPro Foodservice, Duffey is the chair of the UW-Whitewater Foundation Board and is a member of the College of Business and Economics Advisory Board. In 2005, she was named a Distinguished Alumna of UW-Whitewater.
Melissa Johnson of Dickeyville, Wis., was the student speaker. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in early childhood education from the College of Education.
Johnson is a member of the Student Optimist Club, Delta Zeta Sorority and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She has also participated in activities such as Campus Crusade for Christ, America Reads, Leadership Involvement Team, and intramural volleyball and softball.
A total of 539 undergraduates received degrees - 74 in arts and communication; 165 in business and economics; 137 in education; and 163 in letters and sciences. A total of 76 master's degree graduates were also recognized.
