Five alumni to be honored at April 19 Founders Day celebration

 UW-Whitewater will celebrate its 140th year as an institution and honor five alumni during its annual Founders Day celebration Saturday, April 19, 2008.

This year's recipients include:

Distinguished Alumni Awards for Professional Achievement
Distinguished Alumni Award for Service to UW-Whitewater
Distinguished Alumni Award for Community Service
Outstanding Recent Alumni Award
An outstanding junior from each of the four colleges will also be awarded $1,000 Alumni Association scholarships.  This year's recipients include:
The Founders Day program begins at 11 a.m. with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.  Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m.  The presentation of alumni awards and scholarships will begin at 12:30 p.m.
