For those UW-Whitewater alumni looking for some fun this summer, the Alumni Association has a full schedule of events planned where individuals can have fun while catching up with old friends and classmates.
Some of this summer's events include:
- Wisconsin Weekender: Education Seminars and Cycling Tours - June 6-8, in Whitewater, Wis., Two Bicycles and a Map, Ltd. is organizing educational seminars and cycling tours throughout the Whitewater area. - UW-Whitewater Minnesota Chapter Tailgate; Brewers vs. Twins - June 28, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. A tailgate party begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Metrodome Picnic Area Gate H until the game begins at 6:10 p.m. Cost is $35 per person, which includes tailgate dinner and game ticket. The event will be hosted by UW-Whitewater National Alumni Association. - UW-Whitewater Family Day at Keva Sports and Event Center - July 18, in Madison, Wis. Sports, face painting, inflatable obstacles, coloring contest, outdoor movie and fun for the whole family. More details to come.
Golf is synonymous with summer, so for alumni who enjoy hitting the links, plan to attend one or all of the following:
- King/Chavez Scholars Golf Outing - June 20 at Silver Spring Country Club; Menominee Falls, Wis.
- Baseball Golf Outing - June 26 at Evergreen Golf Club; Elkhorn, Wis.
- College of Arts and Communication Golf Outing - July 9 at The Oaks Golf Course; Cottage Grove, Wis.
- College of Business and Economics Golf Outing - July 14 at Merrill Hills Country Club; Waukesha, Wis.
- College of Letters and Sciences Golf Outing - September 29 at Geneva National Golf Club; Lake Geneva, Wis.
