Warhawks Unite host end of the year event in Starin Park

First there was bowling, then came dancing, and now there’s cooking. With two successful events under their belt for the 2007-08 school year, Warhawks Unite will host a cook out to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Starin Park lower shelter.
“We plan to close the year with a cook out in which we will be having food, music and games,” Carolina Calvillo, coordinator of events, said. “We have brought people together in the past by playing games and dancing and now we want to get together with food to celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the summer.”
Food and drinks will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring along friends to help celebrate another successful year.
