Chancellor Telfer names Christine Clements interim provost

Chancellor Richard Telfer today named Christine Clements interim provost for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Clements, who will take over as interim provost on Aug. 11, has been dean of the College of Business and Economics since July 2001.
John Heyer was named interim provost in the summer of 2007 and will return to teaching in the College of Arts and Communication.
The provost’s position opened when Chancellor Telfer was named interim chancellor in May 2007.
Marketing professor Lois Smith will serve as interim dean of the College of Business and Economics.
Chancellor Telfer said that a search for a permanent provost would begin in the fall.
