October 29, 2008
If you have always wanted to travel abroad and are interested in learning about different cultures, you may want to attend the International Education and Programs office’s Global Café Series meeting. This gathering will take place on Thursday, Oct. 30 in the University Center 261 from 3-5 p.m.
During this informational gathering, study abroad and international students will share their experiences living in different countries. The study abroad students will speak about their time in Scotland. Two international students will talk about their countries of origin.
Students are invited to talk in general about their experience abroad, Study Abroad Coordinator Kevin Spears said. They can talk about what they did overseas, what was fun and what specific experiences they had.
Presentations will be around 15-20 minutes. Students will show a PowerPoint presentation with photos to illustrate their time abroad. There will also be 5-10 minutes for questions and answers. Free coffee and cookies are provided for those who wish to attend.
