'Cultural Explosion' celebrates talents of multicultural students

Come and enjoy the many talents of multicultural students at the Black Student Union’s sixth annual Cultural Explosion Thursday, Nov. 6.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Hamilton Center of the James R. Connor University Center.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

“This event is important for people who are willing to expand their knowledge about other cultures, while keeping in mind that diversity can be fun, educational and interactive,” Assistant Director of Pre-College Programs Andre Douglas said.

The UW-Whitewater Gospel Choir, TIFU cultural ensemble, traditional African dancers, Southeast Asian dancers, ALMA dancers, poets and many others will perform.

In addition to the performances, Chancellor Richard Telfer, Dean of Student Life Jeff Janz and Provost Christine Clements will give remarks.

A $2 suggested donation with proceeds benefiting the “Friends of Pre-College Scholarship” will be accepted at the door.
