Scholarship and Creative Achievement exhibit highlights work of faculty and staff
November 24, 2008
The 21st annual Scholarship and Creative Achievement Exhibition is back again at the Crossman Gallery for faculty and staff to show off their hard work and creative achievements. The exhibition is on display Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to noon.
This exhibit provides a great forum for faculty and academic staff to display published research and creative activity from the past year. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to examine scholarly publications and creative works from a range of disciplines and investigative pursuits.
This forum is a great way for faculty and staff to appreciate activity that is going on outside of their area, said Associate Professor Barbara Bren. They are able to network, and it is a chance for them to do multi-disciplinary work with others.
Faculty and staff from the colleges of Arts and Communication, Business and Economics, Education, Letters and Sciences, as well as the office of Instructional, Communication and Information Technology and the University Library make up this forum. Topics range from arts and communication to finance, health and physical education, chemistry, political science and social work.
On Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, there will be a reception for faculty and staff. Chancellor Richard Telfer will give welcoming remarks at 11 a.m., and refreshments will be served. The exhibit is sponsored by the Crossman Gallery, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Photo/Graphics and the University Library.
