AMA wins big in New Orleans

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association placed first in the Nintendo Case Competition in New Orleans, La (March 24-26).
The challenge of the competition was to develop an integrated marketing communication campaign to reach a new customer base for the Nintendo Wii. In December, the team submitted its plan, which was chosen as one of the top ten to present to Nintendo executives in New Orleans.
Competing against the top business schools in the United States, UW-Whitewater AMA also placed 2nd for overall for chapter accomplishments for the 2010-2011 school year. There are 180 members in AMA at UW-Whitewater, and 38 students attended the conference.
