Art workshops in Oaxaca, Mexico

Crossman Gallery Director Michael Flanagan, Associate Professor Max White, and sophomore art student Irasema Villarreal are in Oaxaca, Mexico for two weeks (July 25-August 5) conducting workshops at Galleria Mano Magica. White is teaching mono print processes and Flanagan is teaching a museum studies course. Villarreal is helping with interpretation.

Flanagan's group will use prints from the collection at UW-Whitewater, student prints that White brought with her, prints from the studio in Mexico and from Taller (Atelier) Rufino Tamayo to curate a show of about 25 images. When they return, they'll bring back some of the pieces to UW-Whitewater for exhibits at Fiskum and Crossman Galleries.
