Human evolution focus of UW-Whitewater’s Darwin Day

February 11, 2013

Darwin Day artwork"Darwin's Unfinished Revolution," a focus on the human branch in the evolutionary tree of life, is this year's topic at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Darwin Day.

The event is Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Timmerman Auditorium in Timothy J. Hyland Hall.

"It is a richly documented and highly interesting topic," said Robert Kuzoff, associate professor of biology. "There has not been as great of an emphasis on this subtopic of Darwinism in the past."

Benjamin C. Campbell, a professor at the UW-Milwaukee in the Department of Anthropology, is the keynote speaker. Campbell graduated from Harvard University and was featured in a special program on the History Channel, "How the Earth Made Man."
