Dr. Lynsey Schwabrow has been named director of institutional research and planning at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Schwabrow comes to UW-Whitewater from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, where she served as director of data quality and institutional research. Previously, she worked as associate director of Lawrence University's Office of Research Administration in Appleton.
"Lynsey brings to UW-Whitewater a great depth of knowledge and sophistication in data management," said Beverly Kopper, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs. "Her efforts, and those of her Office, are vital in helping us make strategic decisions at the university. I'm looking forward to collaborating with Lynsey to achieve campus goals."
The director of institutional research and planning is the data expert at UW-Whitewater. In her role, Schwabrow will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and managing this important information, and communicating it to individuals and departments both on and off campus.
"During our search for a new director, Bruce Beck provided key leadership and Tom Karthausser shared the duties of institutional research," Kopper said. "I want to thank both Bruce and Tom for their service and help in moving our efforts forward."
Schwabrow will begin her post August 27.
"I am thrilled to be joining an institution with strong and trusted leaders who are passionate about improving education and student experiences through the use of data," Schwabrow said. "I look forward to expanding the role of the Institutional Research and Planning Office in its analytical activities, reporting functions, and link to assessment activities in order to most effectively demonstrate the excellence that UW-Whitewater has to offer students and the surrounding region."
