Emergency Procedures for the UW-Whitewater Campus Community

The time to review the emergency procedures within this Quick Reference Guide is now-before an emergency occurs. Please read these important emergency procedures.

If you are not sure what to do to protect yourself during an emergency, dial 911 to contact the appropriate emergency services provider. The City of Whitewater uses a single dispatch center for the city and the university.

Office of University Marketing and Media Relations will provide information as necessary through various communication methods, i.e. radio, the UW-Whitewater website and broadcast e-mail.

When requesting emergency assistance, provide the following:

  • EMERGENCY LOCATION.
  • PHONE NUMBER (from which your emergency call is made)
  • YOUR NAME
  • REQUESTED ASSISTANCE (if known)
  • NUMBER OF INJURED
  • CONDITION OF INJURED
  • CIRCUMSTANCES OF EMERGENCY (what happened)

NOTE: If traveling internationally, call 262-472-1320 in case of emergency.
