More permit parking spaces available, meters moved to city streets

About 147 additional permit parking spaces are now available to commuters and faculty and staff members after meters were moved to Prince and Prairie streets.

These new spaces are in Lots 1, 2, 4, 12 and 14. Click here for campus map.

Earlier this year, the city of Whitewater informed the university it would be metering Prince and Prairie streets to generate revenue for street repairs along the campus. UW-Whitewater decided instead to lease and manage parking on those streets, allowing for more spaces in the lots.

For those looking for free parking, 93 spaces are available in Lot 4 on Prairie Street. Some meters will remain on campus for university guests and errand parking.
