The online scholarship application period has begun and there are more than 200 scholarships being offered. Applications for most scholarships will be accepted until Friday, Feb. 15. Please carefully review each scholarship for additional information.

Kudos to Matthew Kiederlen, chief of Police Services, who was recently awarded a $36,000 Wisconsin Office of Justice Homeland Security Program Grant. The purpose of this project is to develop and implement the Justice Gateway connection software between the UW-Whitewater and City of Whitewater police departments to share and access vital justice information. 


Provost Beverly Kopper will not be available for her office hours on Wednesday, Jan. 9.  Her regular schedule will resume Jan. 16, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the University Center Commons area.


Julia Ince, lecturer in art, appeared in both the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Jefferson County Daily Union for helping to research and restore the Mason Farm Log House.

2013 Student Affairs Colloquium

Kristen Renn is a professor in the Michigan State University Higher, Adult and Life-Long Education Program. Her research and publications have focused on identity development and intersectionality in higher education; mixed-race college students; postsecondary race/ethnicity data policy; women in higher education in the U.S. and global contexts; new professionals in student affairs; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues in higher education. Her teaching and research have been recognized with numerous awards. Her international study of women's colleges was supported by a grant from the Spencer Foundation. icit training for faculty and staff

iCIT is introducing several new workshops which are available to all faculty and staff members. Workshop offerings for next week include:
- Wednesday, Jan. 16 - Access: Intro to Databases (new)
- Thursday, Jan. 17 - Event Calendar: An Introduction (new)
