State of the University Address
Chancellor Richard Telfer will deliver his state of the university address on Monday, Aug. 26, at 10:30 a.m. in Young Auditorium. The campus community is invited to attend.
Technology Open House
ICIT's faculty and staff Technology Open House is Monday, Aug. 26, from 2-5 p.m. in University Center room 275B. This is an opportunity for staff to check out the latest IT services and products available both on campus and at home, including collaboration technology, instructional resources, remote access to campus and more. Interim Athletic Director Named
Amy Edmonds, who has worked for UW-Whitewater since 2004, has been named interim athletic director.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, George Mehaffy of AASCU will present "The Changing Landscape of Higher Education: Peril & Promise in a New Age."
All university photo requests can now be submitted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. This includes both requests for archive photos and requests for new photos.
Please be as specific as possible, and include all relevant information, including dates, times, places and names of people. You must also describe what the photos will be used for.
Kudos to the King/Chavez Scholars Program for receiving a $5,000 AT&T Innovation and Investment Award. The grant will support 75 multicultural, first-generation and low-income students as they transition from high school to college courses at UW-Whitewater.

discover whitewater series
Registration is now open for the Discover Whitewater Series. The event is Sunday, Sept. 22, and features a half-marathon, half-marathon relay, 5K, and fit kid shuffle. The course, which is USTAF-certified, will start and finish at the Whitewater Aquatic Center.
Proceeds from the event will go to five local organizations in an effort to build a stronger community. These organizations include: Bethel House, UW-Whitewater Field and Cross Country, W3 (Working for Whitewater's Wellness), Whitewater Unified School District to promote academic excellence, and the Whitewater Aquatic Center.
