On Thursday, July 10, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. the University Center will host a "Jamaican Jam" Summer on the Mall. Join us on the north mall for food, games, live music, free art workshops for adults and children and more!
Chancellor Richard Telfer will hold a campus-wide listening session on Tuesday, July 15, at 2 p.m. in University Center room 261. There is no agenda. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
From July 9 - August 13, Roberta's Art Gallery will host "Two Perspectives," an exhibit featuring vibrant images by two Whitewater artists, Karolyn Alexander and Dawn Hunter. The gallery is open Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Roy Wooten Futureman will present "Mozart and the Gospel," at noon Thursday, July 10, in the Fern Young Terrace of Young Auditorium. Bring a bag lunch and hear the five-time Grammy Award winner, inventor, composer and musician give a multimedia talk celebrating classical music and the American experience, from Mozart to Miles, Beethoven to Bird, Stravinsky to Strayhorn and Dvorak to Duke. The event is free and open to the public.
Later, catch the concert in Light Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Also appearing with Futureman will be opener Earth-Tet Quartet, UW-Whitewater Jazz Ensemble I and UW-Whitewater music faculty. Futureman will be performing on his invention -- the Drumitar -- an electric drum in the style of a guitar which allows his fingers to play the drums instead of sticks. Tickets are $10 and available by calling 262-472-2222 or online at tickets.uww.edu.
The campus community is invited to a retirement celebration for Christine Clements, dean of the College of Business and Economics, from 3:30 - 5 p.m. Thursday, July 24, in University Center room 259. The event program will begin at 4 p.m.

If you have suits, ties, dresses, slacks and other business attire that you would like to donate for needy students please drop off these items at the circle drive between the University Center and McGraw Hall on Thursday, July 24, 7:30-8:30 a.m., noon-1:30 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.
