Warhawk Rugby Named No. 1
The top 50 DII college rugby teams during 2015-2019 have been ranked by Alex Goff Rugby, with UW-Whitewater coming out handily on top. “It's been a pretty amazing run for Whitewater, highlighted by some very talented and athletic players.”

UW-Whitewater professor garners international award for scholarship
Hala Ghoneim, associate professor of languages and literatures garnered an international award for scholarship in Egyptian drama. Her study of three contemporary Egyptian playwrights, “Indigenization and Modernization: The Invention of a Truly Egyptian Drama,” has earned the 2020 International Award of Excellence from the New Direction in Humanities Journal Collection.

Track 40 miles of activity – hiking, walking, running, or backpacking – on the Ice Age Trail during the month of October 2020 and visit three of our Trail Communities to earn a hiking certificate and a limited-edition patch celebrating the 40th anniversary.

The Community Space, located at 834 E. Milwaukee Street in Whitewater, Wisconsin, provides food, clothing, furniture and more to people in a dignified, respectful and joyful manner. All are welcome. A Little Free Pantry is available 24/7. 262-379-0187.
Free meals available
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 1, free home-made, microwavable, take-home dinners will be distributed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 5 and 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church at 145 S. Prairie Street, Whitewater. Individuals will receive three meals at each pickup through a no-contact window on the side of the building.
