Friends of the Library holds photography workshop Dec. 5
Released: December 3, 2008
After returning from a beautiful vacation, you rush to develop your photos, only to find yourself disappointed with the turnout. Reduce photography dissatisfaction by attending Ten More Tips for Better Photography workshop at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Library Friday, Dec. 5
UW-Whitewater Political Science Professor and friend of the Harold G. Andersen Library Charles Cottle invites all students, faculty, staff and members of the Whitewater community to attend the free photography workshop in the International Conference Room, 2254, of the Andersen Library from 1:30-3 p.m. The workshop is available on a first come, first served basis.
Last year, Cottle led a photography workshop titled, “Ten Tips for Better Photos” that discussed aspects of photography composition and what defines a good, engaging photo. As a follow-up to last year’s workshop, Cottle will move beyond simple compositional issues and provide 10 more tips regarding camera techniques and conceptual issues about subject matter.
“For those who are often disappointed in their photographic efforts, this session will be of value,” Cottle said.
“Everyone seems to have a digital camera these days,” Friends of the University Library President Mary Pinkerton said. “Many people post their photos online and should consider making them high-quality.”
