Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science On-Line Degree

Earn your degree through online programs designed for people with a busy life. If you are limited by time, travel, personal and professional obligations, an online program may be perfect for you.
Our on-line degrees are convenient and flexible, and are fully accredited with the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The UW-Whitewater courses needed to complete the on-line degrees are taught by the same instructors and with the same rigor as our on-campus courses. On-line students receive the same diploma as our on-campus students.
The on-line Liberal Studies major is designed as a degree completion program. Most participants have earned a transferable Associate’s Degree or have completed credits toward the General Education requirements. You may complete the major entirely on-line using a combination of UW Whitewater and UW Colleges On-line courses (depending on prior college experience), or combine on-line with traditional courses offered at the Whitewater campus. If you have transfer credits or are just getting started, contact us to determine your best route.Liberal Studies
The College of Letters and Sciences at UW-Whitewater offers a B.A. and a B.S. degree with a major in Liberal Studies that allows you the flexibility to advance in your current career, to adapt to a rapidly changing employment environment, and to enhance your opportunities for success. In the liberal studies major you can develop the skills and knowledge that employers want—critical thinking, written and oral communication, ethical decision making and an understanding of our own culture and the cultures of a global society.
Because the major also includes an individualized focus area, you can target your skills and knowledge toward a specific field of study that addresses your special interests and career goals.
The Liberal Studies program can be pursued as a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree. It offers two options: a 54 credit major that incorporates a focus area, or a 36 credit major that requires a minor. You can review an outline of the major at: http://www.uww.edu/cls/majors-minors.
