Winter commencement Dec. 20
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater winter commencement is Saturday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. in the DLK/Kachel Fieldhouse. Eric Lund, a 1991 alumnus, will be the keynote speaker, and senior Shedrick Daniels will be the student speaker. More than 650 students will graduate this December.
Graduates are asked to arrive by 9 a.m. and report to Gym 1. All guests must arrive by 9:45 a.m. and no one will be seated after that. The ceremony will last approximately 2 to 2-1/2 hours and graduates need to stay the entire time.
Graduates should pick up their seven tickets to graduation at the ticket office in the Center of the Arts. Tickets are available now through Friday, Dec. 19. A photo I.D. is required to pick up the tickets. During the week of December 15, students can pick up their cap and gown at the University Bookstore.
A graduation checklist can be found online at the Registrar's Office Web site. If students plan to graduate in December, but have yet to apply, they should contact the Registrar's Office immediately.
