UW-Whitewater, in collaboration with CESA #2 is one of 16 License Renewal Support Centers in Wisconsin designated by the Department of Public Instruction. The Center provides PI-34 license renewal-related services to educators employed by Wisconsin public and private schools and educational agencies including:
- Information regarding PI34 licensure renewal requirements
- Mentor training
- Monthly support seminars for initial educators designed to facilitate skill development and reflection based on Wisconsin Educator Standards, including: assessment, management, curricular planning and lesson design, technology, etc.
- Assistance for educators to create, implement, and conduct the review and verification process of PDPs with professional development review teams
- Training for teachers, pupil service personnel, administrators and higher education representatives to serve as members of PDP review teams
