Monthly Seminars for Initial Educators
A series of nine 1-2 hour sessions designed for districts or may be regionally based.  Sessions are designed to facilitate skill development and reflection based on Wisconsin Educator Standards, including:  assessment, management, curricular planning and lesson design, technology, and other suggested topics of interest.  Group size may include up to 20 participants.  An annual contract is required.

Professional Development Plan Support
Initial and professional educators may contact the Center throughout the year for information and support to development teams to approve and verify PDPs. PDP Team Reviewers will be established and paid by the Center. Educators will have access to the Quality Educator Interactive system to store their PDPs

Reviewers will be paid $30 per PDP for approval and for verification

Professional Development Planning Summer Institute

EDUINDP 410/610 : The Process of Creating Your PDP (see Center brochure for dates and times) This workshop will be offered each summer on the UW-Whitewater campus for 1 undergraduate or graduate credit. This workshop will review PI-34 requirements and prepare initial and professional educators to use reflection tools to gauge their current level of performance based on the Wisconsin Educator Standards. Participants will be trained on the components of the PDP and work with group facilitators to write the goals for their plans. Specific support will be provided on how educators can begin to collect and analyze data related to their PDP goals that show professional growth and a positive impact on student learning. Review teams of peers, administrators, and higher education representatives will be designed to conduct goal approval for participants PDPs. Participants will be coached on the use of the Quality Educator Interactive system to create and store their PDPs.

EDUINDP 412/612 Verification of Your Professional Development Plan

This workshop will be offered each summer on the UW-Whitewater campus for .5 undergraduate or graduate credit. This workshop builds on prior learning from the previous summer institutes and provides the final verification process of the PDP with Team Reviewers as required for initial and professional educators.

Professional Development Planning Graduate Certificate Program (Please see the Center brochure for more information)

The program is designed for experienced teachers, administrators and pupil services personnel. Upon completion graduates are prepared to serve as mentors and qualified to serve as review team members and higher education representatives for UW-Whitewater. Certificate Programs will be offered on campus or site-based for districts. Nine credits of required courses include:: EDUINDP 710 Mentoring the Initial Educator EDUINDP 711 The Professional Development Planning Process EDUINDP 712 Serving as a PDP Team Member 3 credits of electives

Two-semester, 12 graduate credit program.
